Sys4 with a fold down from to create mini work stations

do you mean the front folds down and the sides open out . and have all the tools set up in there ready to go. i like it for soldering etc.
you could make and insert to hold the tools like that and put it in a systainer. like the insert for the hand tools. lift out the insert and fold out te side etc and start work

I was only thinking about the front folding down - that could be feasible without a complete remodelling of the case.
Tell you why I was thinking about it ... you get cases that let you setup your guitar effects pedals just how you like them. When you don't have a workshop big enough for multiple workstations - having ready to go stations in a box could be an alternative.
Obviously it'd only work for smaller things. Engraving and electrical testing are a couple more that come to mind.

Just seems that a Sys 4 is way too much space for just a soldering station. To me that could fit in a mini for light/small soldering connection. for a larger solder gun even a Sys 1 seems too much space.
As someone that works on location. Compact storage is priority one.

I could see using a Sys - IV for stations that are 'set up ' ready to go. Open front or lift out, plug in and work. For soldering or dremel etc . A supplemental work light could even be in place. The primary tool in the holder. If multiple things needed to be plugged in, a small outlet strip or multi plug deal could be all set with everything plugged in, just plug in the station.
What other things could a set up like this be good for... model building, air brush?
I think to use Systainers in the current configuration , the lift out would be the way to go. Make the from into a fold down would probably weaken the structure and latching too much.
