Syslite "tear off" lens covers

I have a Syslite.  I'd like to use this as a task light to help me apply finish to some bookcases I'm working on.  I'm concerned that paint overspray will wreck the lens, like it did my safety glasses.

I'd like to see some sort of "tear off" lens covers.  Much like motorcyclists use in motocross races to clear their goggle lenses when they get caked with mud during the race.

And yes, I could use Saran Wrap, but I'd appreciate a bit more "engineered" solution to this.

Is cheap clear packing tape more engineered in the meantime?  That is what I used.

I do agree that it would be great to have a dedicated solution.

Why don't you try one of those screen protector for smart phone?
Don't know if they are the same size but it's worth a try

Hey!  I have quite a few rolls of packing tape left over from the Fogtainers!  Quit stepping on my future customers' toes.  [poke] [popcorn] [big grin]

I few rounds of cling wrap in the short term ??

A translation for our Australian friend:  Saran wrap was one of the earliest brands of plastic wraps (accidentally discovered in 1933 and marketed as a "cling" wrap back in 1949.  Many people here still refer to any plastic cling wrap as Saran wrap.

We don't run tearaways on our syslites. But, they are freaking dynamite on our goggles.

I dont understand what the fanaticism is about putting the syslite in ziplock bags. I have pressure washed ours to clean them. They are a tool, not a collectors item.
