I have had my Sysrock for several years now, always happy with its performance. Yeah its had a few minor issues that I have been able to fix, but now I've run up against something beyond me. The magnetic part of the speaker fell off. [blink] I tried a repair with epoxy to no avail - it sounds really fuzzy and just awful. Has anyone found a replacement third party speaker that will work in the Sysrock? Thanks in advance.

I'm not savvy enough in speaker dynamics to be able to suggest an appropriate replacement, but there is a parts supplier in Ohio that sells quite a variety of speakers and might have something that would match.  You can search on size, impedance and other specifications.  Its athttps://www.parts-express.com/.

Hope this helps.

I don’t own a SysRock, but the speaker should have some writing/printing on the back to give some guidance on what a possible replacement might be.

Can you share some pictures?

And for what it‘s worth, Festool lists the Electronics in EKAT (as a complete module) with part number 201829.
Listed for roughly 50 euros without tax...

Expensive for a speaker, but might be a quick fix...

Thank you gentlemen, for the answers and suggestions. Festool support says that the part/speaker is not available for purchase (at least here in the states) and I dont think that it would be worth it if it was (when I could move on over to the new sys-top offering). But I am interested in doing a repair if possible. I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow. Thanks

Here is a picture of the speaker.

It looks like a pretty standard speaker, watch out for depth and hole pattern/space - it seems that Parts-Express have quite a good range (make sure it’s full range speaker though) in such small speakers. It might be 2 1/2” - 3”? If you measure and give them a call, you might end up with a easy switch - may even get a better sound if lucky  [wink]

[member=7723]Jeff R Johnson[/member]  I'm not sure of the actual size of the speaker, but it looks like my BR10 measured from the front is about 2 inches.  I took a look on the Parts Express website and found this 2" Full Range Speaker that is 8 Ohms and 15 watts (same as what is listed on the back of the speaker in your photo).  It also has a frequency range starting at 130 which I think is pretty good bass.  One of the things I noticed about the Festool is that it does seem to have good bass.  There are specifications that list the actual measurements that you can match to what you have.  Plus the price is right at just over $16.  As I said before, I'm not a speaker person, but this seems close.  Maybe another more savvy FOG person can comment.

[member=71478]FestitaMakool[/member]  Thanks for the mention.  They also offer some interesting low-cost kits to build your own speakers.  I bought a set of these and plan to apply my own veneer.
