Since we can't upload video here is an audio clip. The rumbling noise is intermittant during suction. Anyone have an idea as to the cause before having to send this thing in under warranty? Pretty disappointed.  [sad]

Thanks

Found this too here, anyone know if this is true? The sound it is making is very much like this described.

"The CT SYS is an odd beast though, it seems to have some kind off baffle that kicks in (seemingly) randomly, presumably to either de-stress the motor or to aide cooling. The noise differential used to worry me until someone here assured me that it is normal."

After searching more it does seem the very fine dust in ours is the culprit. Anyone know if the "long life" bag is better or is this going to be an issue no matter what? For the record the bag is caked with a very fine thick dust but the bag is nearly empty of heavier material. So trying to see what is the most economical way forward etc.

Thanks

The long life reusable bag is designed for chips like those created by the planers and the routers which great a large volume quickly.  They are not recommended for fine dust because the pores clog.

Please note that two threads about the same issue have been merged.

I found the old bulletin, thanks!
