Systainer Dollie Version 2.0

Back in February i posted an Aluminum plated Dollie setup to haul my systainers up flights of stairs. after a week of admiring my aluminum crafting prowess, i could not figure out any way to lock the systainer to the plate without some bulky clasp hanging off the bottom (a potential floor scratch or gouge) and didn't want the systainers falling over the side on my way up or down so...Version 2.0 uses a 1/2" ABS sheet under a systainer lid.  A Combi lock lever was used to keep the bottom flush with the floor when unlocked. so far so good!

I'm digging it
I sent a pic of my version on your last post where I connected a similar dollie to a
sys cart it works ok but I'm thinking I'm gonna go one way or the other
I may try what u have going on
But I just wish someone could come up with a 3d printing of some hardware  that grabs the bottom of a systainer instead of just being able to grab the top... hint hint [poke]

Wow! you have created the prefect systainer trolley in my opinion!

I had designed this exact modification already in my head, but never acted on it because I know I would never execute it even half as brilliantly as you have.  I assume the wheels are a little higher than standard, but looks like she would roll ok. And importantly you've got the back of the systainers flush onto the frame.

Nice job! I'm genuinely jealous, I want one.  [eek]

feel like you should pop the handle off the top of the sys lid though. I'd find that annoyingly redundant  [embarassed]

ANSWERS:
the wheels are up about an inch but it doesn't affect the function.
if the dollie is on the other side of the room at days end, i pick it up with the systainer handle and the dollie handle and carry it to the systainers rather than roll it

Here you will find a couple different choices for corner castors.
At least one looks like a dead ringer for those used above.

You will also find aluminum extrusions for making exhibition cases,
large speaker cabinets and such.
