Hi,

A while back I was certain I saw a picture of a systainer 1 that was green with a white cross on it, first aid kit came to mind. Since then I have not been able to find that same picture. Since Tanos have the capability to both deliver the systainers in any color combination and the fact that they have a medico branch having Festool offer a first aid kit could be possible.

How many times have you been in the shop and needed a band aid. Having the ability to carry the first aid kit together with the tools, priceless.

If Festool is not interested in carrying such product I hope a US dealer would.

If you scroll down about half way, the first aid systainers are on the link you posted.

You weren't dreaming! Here is one Systainer in such a colour scheme from www.spiegelglanz.info...

A similar product is illustrated at http://www.beschlaegekoch.de/nachrichten/Aktionen/Dezember%202008/Festool-ErsteHilfe.pdf

Yeah, that was probably the closest one to what I saw. Now if we only could get Festool to sell them here.

Yep, I know. That was why I posted the link  ;D

Unfortunately it doesn't seem they have a US distributer.

I would think the mini-systainer that came with the apron might be perfect for this usage. Don't know how big the mini is and don't think the aprons are available any more. Just a thought.

The Mini Systainer and Apron package is apparently in stock at Ace Tools and at Godwin Hardware, Midland Park, NJ, according to the recent thread entitled festool aprons in the Sales & Festool Dealer Area. See that thread for contact details.

THe Mini Systainer that is available in the USA is 268 x 171 x 70mm  (external) and  248 x 158 x 50mm (internal) (figures from www.tanos.de)

I think a full sized sys 1 first aid kit would be great. Would hold all the band-aids, bottles of peroxide, etc, balms, bottles of advil, etc, etc, that we really should all have on hand on site, but probably don't.

After all, there's nothing pussified about actually taking care of an injury, no matter how minor.

Hi,

I made my own little kit up a while ago and keep it in a mini systainer. I printed this (attachment) onto a sticky label and it came out a treat.

Cheers,
Mac

Yeah. Not sure if there's anything in there that'll help when my new Hammer Bandsaw rips my arm off, but it sure is cute.

Nice. Although at 99 euros I trust it comes with its own nurse..?

I would hope that Tanos in the us would eventually offer the (a) box. It would be better to obtain supplies over here. For those of you who are nostalgic an early 2000's catalogue showed a stack of Systainers, and one had a red cross.

Slightly off topic, I bought the mini-sys apron combo a while back. the mini-sys is still empty, haven't figured what to do with it. For those wondering about the apron, it is nice. Very handy, very comfortable, easy to take on/off, etc. I use it mostly for inspections and it works out well. Of course I look like a dork but what else is new. I use a Sys 1,2,4 & Sort 6 as a tool/gadget tower.

Markus,

I am sure the apron makes you look distinguished.  I have one too.  Combine that with the t-shirt or hat from the class and you will have quite the outfit.  Maybe not the church going hat  of one of the class members, but who keeps track of such things and short vacuum hoses? [big grin] [big grin] [big grin] [big grin] [big grin] [big grin]
