Systainer lid attachments

Anyone have information/pointers on making custom attachments to the lids of either max-systainers or T-Loc sustainers?

Specific use case is I want to attach a piece of plywood to the maxi lid that can be easily removed (it's actually a jig of sorts). Think
some kind of flip paddles that can be moved to the side for removal.

There appear to be some "screw bosses" (right term?) on the lid which are plastic and look like you could put a slightly oversized
screw into for attachments.

Also I noted on the T-Loc lids, these bosses seem to have a sleeve or insert in the, is that meant for screw threading?

Another thought is to simply hot glues a rod into the recesses.

Anybody have experience with doing this?
