Somone posted another version of this top a few weeks ago, but it was just a plywood board attached to the Systainer and you had to take it off to use the Festool clamps.

This version sold on Ebay gives you the proper spacing between top and Systainer, to use the Festool clamps without lifting the top first.

The most interesting part are the metal fittings used to attach the snappers. I don't think this is a Festool part, but it would be interesting to find out what kind of fitting this is for more easy Systainer attachment projects.

nice find, it would indeed be interesting to find out what hardware that is, though i only have T-locs. for those you would need a completely different design.

looks handy. i would like to know about the hardware.
if it was mine i would put holes or a t track on the side.
i could see myself putting this on top of the vac for site use

I would also like to know about that hardware.  Not only what it is, but will it wear out the plastic Festool clips?      I would add a handle shaped cutout in the middle (or a pull up/out handle) so I could carry it with a few systainers attached.

[welcome] to the fog
great idea.

any chance of a translate or general jist of what it says. prices etc

From what I can see in the photo the hardware looks like the clip side of a draw latch, similar to ones sold by McMaster:

I got a few photos of the hardware and I would guess it's some kind of wall / ceiling anchor or perforated steel tape. It was cut and bent to fit the snapper. If you look closely you can figure out that the tape has a repetitive pattern. Although in my first search I couldn't find this specific brand, but I'll keep looking.

It would be great to use for a lot of different Systainer tops!

bror:

I assume you used a more reliable hardware to attach your worktop to the Systainer snapper, than the DIY perforated steel tape or anchor solution shown on the photos.

I wouldn't trust this piece of metal to carry arround any of my Festools, and it also seems to be perfect for all kinds of injuires.

Would you share what kind of snapper hardware you used, or if it's your own design make it available for purchase. I guess we all have projects in mind where a proper Systainer connection might be helpfull.

And please post some information on how to pruchase your Systand!

the hardware is lasercut 1,5 mm stainless steel
hope you can see enough details on pictures

i too would love to buy some of those fittings. maybe sell the plans and a enough hardware to make 3 -4 tops.
im sure you would sell them as shipping a ply box would get expensive.

I got the same price too, that is far to much. I would pay 60 Euro incl. the VAT and a reasonable cost for shipping (some 7 Euro). But have the 79 Euro plus 19% and 19 Euro shipping ist pretty close to 129 Euro and this is to much for that "tricky wooden thing".

i PM and emailed the seller.
i got the same price . its way too dear , especially when im not local. . i offered to buy plans and a few sets of the hard ware.
i offered 30 euro for the plans( quiet a lot in my opinion) and 20 euro for 16 pieces of hardware(4 sets) . thats a very good offer that would net him ( him i think not sure) 50 euro for very little out lay or work.
sadly he hasnt replied to either and has been logged into the fog since i sent the PM.
