Systainers and Sortainer Fitment question

Hey guys and gals,

I'm looking to purchase a Festool setup for my dad for Father's day and I'll freely admit that I'm confused.....hoping you can send some light on this for me.  I know he'd like a unit with drawers in the front plus something with a lid that will provide at least 5 inches of height.  I know he'd also like something that looks sharp and sits flush.

I was looking at the Stortainer 9 and the Systainer sys 2 and was about to hit the order button when i saw that it looks like their length ( width maybe?) dimensions are different, so that they won't sit flush.

Am I totally out to lunch?  Will they fit together flush? Could anyone provide a recommendation as to what to get in order to meet his dream?

ALL of the Systainers ( except the mini, midi, and maxi) will fit on top of the Sortainers. The only difference that is confusing you is the different HEIGHTS.

Hi Mark,

  Welcome to the forum!  [smile]

    As above .... a regular T-Loc Sys - II or any of them I - V will fit flush on top of any Sortainer. Those all have the same footprint.  The Sys - II will have about 5" of height on the inside of the bottom. Plus a bit more up into the lid unless it is the attic lid version.
