Sysytainers

I have about 15.

Tell me what you need and make a decent offer and I will see if I have it for you. I have a couple of the sandpaper holder units and a router bit unit. If interested I can check exactly which ones are available.

NONE of these have ever left my shop. They may be dusty, but once I clean them they will appear brand new. They have been sitting under a 1080 for along time.

[crying]

Where are you located?

I'd be interested in a pair of Sys2's, if shipping isn't a killer.
I'm in 53704.  Send me your demands for pricing.    [huh]

Hey guys, I actually have all of the units asked for.. BUT the shipping is just not going to work. For South Carolina a sys 4 and or 5 cost near as much as a sys4.

Even to WI which is not that far is on the edge, I will check a couple other shippers. Please give me the exact zip codes.

I think maybe for the guys that can drive over or live really close would get  the best deal. Really someone that just wants the entire lot and drives over would get the best deal.

I think I would take 750.00 for all the units. Many of the systainers I have are the sandpaper holder type(filled with paper) the sys4 tool box,the router bit box, the cleaning set in box, etc and a bunch of empty units as well, from SYS 1 to 5. Plus some Festool foamvpads etc.To sell everything to one person no shipping would be a great deal.

If the shipping is right individually I do not mind shipping, but from UPS so far it just does not make sense to ship very far from Chicago IL. The larger SYS 4 and 5 especially.

Oh, you're in Chicago!!   [big grin]
Are you in the northern burbs area, or southern side?

Sending you a PM

WAY North. 20 minutes from Lake Geneva, WI. I used to party in Madison back in the day.  :)

You're really clearing out the inventory there - too bad shipping is a killer.

Looks like Wood-Junkie out of Madison is going to be close enough to add to his Festool arsenal.

Well the tools I never or rarely use are going. I mean I have some I never even plugged in and some I used one time, it just makes no sense to keep them.

I also have 4 Sortainers that I have been using, but they still look really good. I guess I will sell those as well.

I don't understand how shipping a sys4 costs as much as the Sys4 itself.

I shipped 35 pounds worth of nail guns across the country for 32 bucks.

Read up on "dimensional weight".  It's where the size of the thing trumps the actual weight, and they assign some seemingly arbitrary cost, like it's a big huge and heavy package.

Not that it makes *any* dang sense:
http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/resources/prepare/oversize.html

As for individual Systainers, I'm not sure it applies... just saying, it's not super cheap just because its an empty box.

Exactly, sometimes you can send 75lbs for less money than 10 lbs, it depends on the size as much as weight and of course location. Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason, that's why I ask for area codes.

I have one offer on all the systainers so far. I am thinking about it. I will track down shipping for anyone that gives an area code though.

I have 4 sortainers, one of each type, 9 drawer, 6 drawer, etc. I will entertain offers on those as well. I will sell individually or together, just give me a zip. Pickup or a meet up is good too.

Packaged individually, they will all come in under the binding dimensions.

ship them with the post office, way cheaper then UPS or FedEx.

Well if any would ship in a flat rate box USPS is much cheaper, but I only think a sys1 would fit in a large, if that.  I would have to try it out. I have been using USPS a lot lately for the smaller stuff though, they have had some nice prices.

I have accounts with USPS, UPS and Fed Ex, plus DHL for out of country. I ship a lot for business so I always shop the best prices and will find the best price. USPS won't even take many of my packages for work though. Anything above 32" x 32" x 2" the post office will not take priority. Luckily nothing I am selling here is that big.  :)

I just use standard Parcel Post, takes about 5 days to get to the west coast.

Just trying to help you sell your stuff. [big grin]

Oh jeez I would not wish that on anyone. I used parcel post a few times and it took almost 10 days! That is a cheap way to go though.

My count is:

5 - SYS1 - 1 router bit case

2 - SYS2

4 - SYS3

3 - SYS4

1 - SYS5

SORTAINERS - ALL the SYS III size

SYS4 DRAWER

SYS6 DRAWER

SYS9 DRAWER

SYS12 DRAWER

Everything for 1025.00 pickup or meet

It is 916.00 + 512.00 = 1428.00 retail

Again all systainers look brand new and never left the shop. Sortainers were used , but never left the shop so they may have some small scratches etc. These retail prices are for empty cases, but my cases have a tool box(sys 4), 3 sandpaper organizers, a cleaning kit, router bit insert and a Festool miter kit or whatever it is called all included. I can include various inserts for routers or sanders if you want them.

One  box that held my Rotex has the black 25th anniversary latches on it.

NO sandpaper included.

I have one offer on just the systainers so far.
