Does anyone know where you can get replacement pins for the T-loc systainers? I have seen some pins on the Mysystainer website but they do not seem to be the same. The head on the T-loc systainer pin has a bend in it to match the shape of the T-loc systainer case. Any help would be appreciated.

hi there. welcome to the fog

i would check the ekat system. or email one of the dealers on here. bob marino, sean  at the tool nut. email systainer world or one of the derivitives. if all that fails pm or email shane holland or ring festool

Welcome to the forum. As was stated, you can contact your preferred Festool dealer to order the hinge pin, or it can be ordered directly from our service department as a spare part. Please note that your dealer will likely not have such an item in stock.

The number for the service department is below in my signature.

Thank you Alan and Shane. I had been to ekat on the Festool international site and did not understand what it was as it was very slow loading and the draqwings never showed up. I will follow your advice thanks again

If you are having an issue with part numbers, the part number is 700574.

I noticed while looking that the internal containers like those with the new Domino XL are listed as parts too!

I think you'd be farther ahead buying directly from Festool.  For one thing, you'll likely get the parts a little faster.  Secondly, and I certainly can't speak for all dealers, but they aren't going to make any money on getting you spare parts.  If fact they losing their time and that's money.  If a dealer gets you parts, remember he's doing it as a courtesy.

Oh come on Brice, it is not a courtesy, it's all part of the package. A part of Festool's prices is reserved for the service program and the dealers also get their share of that. They might not get a cent when they order something for you at that moment, but they already got paid for that when they sold the tool.

I'm sure there is a nice profit in the tools but not so much so that a customer should feel the dealer owes them something.  It's just as easy to call up Festool and order the parts than a dealer.  All the same I stand by my comments, it's a courtesy, not a money maker for the dealer.  It's up to each person if they want to ask a dealer to do something for them and not make any money doing it.

Hm, then this must come to you as a surprise then, but here in Europe we can't even order directly from Festool, everything has to be done through a dealer.

Another related question: I was reading another post and say the pictures on how to remove the hinge pins and noticed the comments on the stiffeners. Do all T-loc systainers have stiffeners? Neither of my two recent purchases from Amazon (PSB 300 & T15+3) had stiffeners in the T-loc systainers but the T-loc systainer for the Ro 90 Dx I bought from Lee Valley did have a stiffener.

To the best of my knowledge Festool Systainers  larger than a Sys - I have the stiffener. Tanos Systainers do not have the stiffener. I don't know about Systainers with other branding such as Bosch, etc.

Follow up on the replacement hinge pins saga. I contacted Festool and was told they would send me two new pins to replace the 1-broken and 1-missing on the T-loc Systainer (T-15+3) that was shipped to me from Amazon.com (interestingly the shipping packaging was completely intact). Two weeks later I did not have the pins so I called Festool back and talked with Julie Purple. She looked into the issue and discovered the first rep I had talked with had decided to contact the Canadian Festool rep to have him ship the pins to me. Unfortunately as there were no pins available in Canada the problem fell through the proverbial crack until Julie came to the rescue. Julie got the pins sent to me (no charge), arrived before Christmas. I now have a workable albeit still damaged Systainer for my T-15. Yahoo!!!! Thanks again Julie and Festool!! Great service!!!
