T-Loc Verschließen!!!!

I saw those a couple weeks ago myself. imo a keyed lock on a plastic box will only prevent the honest people from accessing your tools and accessories.

I can imagine that meeting some sort of OH&S need - not real security ... unless the thief is planning to steal systainers!

I'd have to ask the question, does one key fit them all, or are there multiple keyings?  If one key fits all, where is the security?  It's to me like finding out that all RV doors are keyed alike.

[sad]

I am certain that Tanos is smart enough not to make this feature one-key-fits-all.  And, I expect that a purchaser can request one-key-fits-many.

If the keying is similar to the Tanos Classic Systainer lock system (and I assume that it would be), there are 20 key variations.  With those, you could request orders with a specific keying, although in my experience that can take some time to fulfill...

I wonder if the T-loc locks are keyed the same as the Classic locks.  That would be awesome, as I could get some to match with my existing key.

Don't know if Tanos is smart enough, but Samsonite isn't.  Once a few years ago when I was traveling, I lost the key to my high end Samsonite suitcase.  Called the hotel front desk to recommend a locksmith.  They sent up a guy (who got a big tip) with a ring of keys.  He explained that all Samsonite products could be opened with one of three keys.  First one he tried worked.  Maybe that has changed, but I kind of doubt it...

That used to be the case with Rittal rack cupboards (computer) - if I recall correctly they had six different keys available and marketed them as highly secure server storage racks for shared hosting facilities [scared]

Nowadays you can get them with real Abloy locks with your preferred key series/toothing pre-installed  [big grin]

There probably is à number on the keys, those with the same number open the same locks.
So you can order new keys should you lose them. Works the same with many cheaper simple locks

I don't think it's really designed for security. Cus you can just pick the sustainer up and walk of with it dead easy.

More like Peter said just stop unwanted little fingers getting like  kids and ADULTS

yes adults their are a lot of D.ck heads on job sites who think its okay just to use some ones tools but aren't that bad that they will actually steal the tool.  When I wa younger I often found some trades men just using my tools just cus they were to lazy.  I would tell them NO!  But they would look down on me and just smirk at me and I would find them doing it over and over! I ended up carrying my tools to where I was working or unplugging all tools and taking the power lead with me.

I told the Forman what I was doing.  He ended up supplying me with some new tools and told the lads not the bother but it didn't stop them they just came up to me saying why you tell the Forman.

Well if I was as confident as i am now I would of told them to stop with some extra words in my sentence and a nice little threat while holding my claw hammer infront of their faces.  Any way this T-loc lock would help to stop people like that.

The other thing is that you can create a locked stack.  JMB or Kreg or any number of others could do a skyscraper.  It is a lot harder to sneak off with a stack of stuff 7 feet tall that pilfering some stuff out of a systainer while someone is not looking.

Was thinking they'd be good for a T-Loc Sys 4 full of the cleaners you want to keep kids out of... mucho easier than trying to put those stupid "kid proof" locks on the cabinets.

Just spending a lazy sunday (hiding from the rain) looking for cool NAINA stuff. Haven't seen this on any of the U.S. systainer sites:

T-Loc Locks

One of the Owners at Japan Woodworker proudly stated they would be getting them it.  [scratch chin]  No real need for me.  Good idea instead of TotLok's although.

If any of the Children at work start to open my T-Loc's, a digital clock and the theme song from Mission Impossible starts the self destruct sequence.

I looked at them over the internet pictures and videos thought they where a good idea and if I could use them in my van then I checked the prices and thought NOPE I wont be using them lol!   My van racking cost me £100 in materials  plus  a day make and fit so I cant justify them prices for Tanos racking.    It doesnt even use the full potential of your van like if you make ur racking your self you try and use every little corner space u have.

Makes sense to me. I never seen any thing like it here so I was curious. My van has the shelving done by Adrien Steel but hard to beat custom made.
