My question concerns the charging of the Lithium Ion Battery.

Question:  Can I leave the battery in the charger  with the green light showing or do I need to remove the battery from the charger when it is fully charged?

Thanks in advance.

You can leave it for a bit!  But I wouldnt leave it over night or for couple days or anything.  You are best to remove it as soon as its fully charged!  So if you working and you end up walking past your charger and notice its fully charged then just remove it but dont worry and keep going back and forth checking if its fully charged as its not a problem just the less its on the charger the better!

I usually set the timer on my phone for 70 minutes so I remember to go back and take my batteries off of the charger. I'm pretty sure the chargers cut out at full charge but it's better to be safe!

i actually read the manual of my CXT to see if this time they had put anything informative in their manuals for once!
and somehow there was, it mentions not to leave the battery on the charger for over a month! that is unplugged, the unplugged charger seems to slowly empty the battery.
but if the question is about leaving a battery in a plugged charger, then yes i would at least unplug the charger, and after reading the manual i also take out the battery.

In general, always best to remove a battery from its charger after it completes charging.

That being said, my understanding would be that Festool chargers are much smarter than most, and you can get away with a lot more than you could with other brands -- but that should be treated as a safety net, not as something to leverage on purpose...
