Well it has taken festool uk just shy of 3 weeks to repair my drill which i think is a little too long to be honest. Anyway that said they have fitted it with a new motor and new electroncs(again) Sounds a hell of a lot better this time so i hope it is fixed for good this time either that or it breaks before october when my warranty runs out

I spoke to my dealer cus my milwuakee impact drill has gone out of sink AGAIN 3rd time lucky any way I was saying how rubbish it is that it keeps doing this and that I am not impressed with milwuakee drills any way he told me he has only had a few milwuakee drills come back faulty and few more impact but he said milwueakee know about the impact problem.

Any way he said he has had ALOT more festool T+15 drills come back faulty multiple times. I told him about the trigger can be fully pressed but the drill would just stop and he said he's got one just the other week he has has to send if with the same problem he says it's a common problem.

So either UK has a crap batch and people in the USA have had non faulty ones sent or people across the pond don't use the drill enough.

Any way Dean! Me and you know the truth the T+15 does have a lot of faults and a lot of people in the uk has experienced faults with the drill. No 1 can tell me different!  But having said all that I love the drill cus of it's size strength and angle chuck!

Just people on here (across the pond) saying I have had mine for a year and use it every day no faults well you have just been very lucky then.

With any product, from any manufacturer, a new product could have unforseen issues that don't get resolved before release. If that is the case, then it will always show up in the first batch or two.

It's likely that some imperfect ones slipped through when it was first released, and that the product or production process was re-designed for subsequent batches, including the ones that went to the 'States (remember, they get them later than us).

The Kapex is the exception that proves the rule!

Or, considering your Milwaukee, people in the UK might have this 'special' way of handling drills.  [wink]

lol I was saying that to my dealer I have not had much luck with drills lol!  My first T+15 was faulty within a week of buying went for repair! then went for repair again! then had it replaced with new to say sorry for the trouble I was having! The new one also went back in for repair later and now it needs to go back again lol!

My Milwaukee lasted 6months the impact goes out of sink so it takes ages to drive a screw in and the impact because to harsh and bounces you out of the screw! My dealer Swapped it for brand new one! Then about 6 months again same problem!Milwaukee sent me a brand new one again about 9 months same problem so going to give Milwaukee another call soon to have it sorted again! My mate has had his for about 8 months and he has the same problem as me now.  I dont have much luck with drills lol!

I sent of my Milwaukee drill/driver last week got it back a few days later good service!! To be fair Milwaukee replaced all with new no repairs apart from the drill/driver all with speedy service! It was kinda my fault I think!  I was drilling 19mm holes with flat bit in OAK I only did 5 holes and it started smoking and bits of metal started falling out.  I told my dealer and Milwaukee picked it up next day couple days later I got it back brand new motor and trigger and full service very good!

Don't get me wrong I think it is a well designed drill as far as ergonomics come into things but i just think it is poorly built. I had a Dewalt that lasted longer and still have it albeit with dead batterys now but it has been repaired once in 6 years and that was a trigger that cost me £40 and i got it back the next day, I would rather pay £40 than not have a drill for 3 weeks, poor poor service.

My C15 has been trouble free.  I wonder how different they are to the T15 ?  Heard your problem quite a bit with the T15 but i cant say i have heard anything bad about the C15 yet.

well that lasted a long time, the speed seem quite slow but then it fluctates alot, i found today drilling steel it speeds up then slows again then speeds again then slows again.  Back to festool i think, or maybe the bin piece of crap

Or fitting kitchen, skirting, architrave, window boards, frames, doors on a new build! Gues what I picked!

Just been playing but all my mates are out drinking so bit of a Billy! Working on my house 2moro so need to be up early to make the most of it using my T15 drill  [tongue] to drill holes in the tiles fitting shower enclosure and toilet and stuff!

i,ll not be on till 9.45, i been at work all day and wil be tommorrow too.
I'm still using my drill as i havent droppped it off yet. Just a bit crap how the speed goes up and down. I thought it sounded slower than normal when i got it back so think the electronics they put in it are faulty or the trigger is on the way out
