T18 Battery Warranty

Hey Guys,

I am confused I guess about the battery warranty on my 2 1/2 year old T18. They are not holding a charge as long as they used to and I emailed Festool and they promptly responded. The response was not what I was expecting: If I send them in and they are worn from normal use they will provide me a replacement price quote.... I thought the batteries were under warranty for 3 years, didn't Festool market it as " you will not have to replace batteries for 3 years we guarantee it"?

LOVE FESTOOL AND THEIR SUPPORT- JUST WONDERING if I am confused?

Please forward me the email you received. We have some new folks in the repair department and maybe it was a mistake. Note that I am traveling tomorrow in the afternoon, so the sooner the better.

Frank, to clarify as I said in my email to you, batteries that are inoperable will be replaced. That can be from normal use.

Your batteries are still holding a charge and therefore are not considered inoperable.
