This table was made using all Festool equipment, except for some angle cuts with the Makita LS1214 (don't have a Kipax yet) and some bandsaw resawing. These tools include TS75 and rail, RO150 sander, C12 drill, something300 Jigsaw (the barrel one) and Domino (with and without tenons). Its not "totally" or even "relatively" unique, but if you like it and want to make one too, I can tell you where to get free instructions and pics of this very table! (it does still need some very minor touches, but these are related to attachment of removeable parts.)

Regards,

Rob

Very nice.

How did you use the domino without the tenons?

Where are the plans?

Rob,
that is a nice coffee table.
One question. How did you account for cross grain expansion and contraction of the pine panels?

Thanks

Hi Eiji,

I didn't make it clear in the construction notes, for which I apologise. I do not glue the dominoes which hold together the pine panels, so that there is some allowance for movement with one mortise being a single cut and the other a cut #2 cut. other than that, I seal the bottom of the panels with two coats of oil and friction seal at 400g. One other thing is that the pine boards are actually 1" deep compared to the frame which is 1 1/2" deep. Movement is not so pronounced or prolonged in its effects.

Hope that helps,

Regards,

Rob
