Hey guys! a little post from me again, a table i newly finished and delivered as a surprise to my brother.
The table is inspired by the looks of a asian/chinese stool (no not the poo poo kind)
The tabletop is made out of beech wood, and the legs are white oak. The boards i used for the tabletop were unusualy wide, 32-34 cm (my boards are normaly maby 20cm wide), and were 4 m long :D
The table itself is 190x90x52 cm, and the main design/touch is the illusory thickness i tried to implement. The tabletop is realy only 2,5cm thick, but i glued a "frame" underneath, 10cm thick and 6 cm deep/wide and then curved it like a champ. Phew...a real workout with a good number of tools.

Very nice job!  I would be interested in how you attached the legs also.

coming coming :) just need to get my brother to take a picture, it is easier to show than to explain :)

ok, mr.blurry cam took a picture for me, will doo for now.
There are two blocks of wood per leg, 5cm thick,  one on each side. They are each dominoed with 6 size 8x50 dominoes through the leg, two on top of eachother 3 after eachother. Leading to a solid domino going through the leg and out on each side into the blocks.
One block is glued and screwed too the tabletop, the other just screwed so the legs can be removed for transport.
The legs are 5 cm thick solid oak.

This is kinda experimental (it is ok since this is not a customer per say, "only" my brother), considering the cantilevering effect of the legs, but after some kind tests (me supporting my whole 90kg wheight on one side of the table) the legs did not move at all. Time will tell.
