I came across this "Plate Joiner Table" in Shopnotes #33 and thought you guys might be interested.  Seems like it would be an excellent setup if you have to mortise a large batch of small pieces.  Simply clamp stops in place, slide your workpiece in between them and step on the pedal.

Options to get it seem to be: paywall, piracy or facebook login [sad]

Hi!  I was browsing my magazines and found this plan.  You can get it from the publisher or on the USB containing all of the PDF of the magazines.  I can tell you that it's well worth the money for all of the projects that are in there.

Has anyone built this device and does it work well?  I have a foot actuated Kreg Jig clamping mechanism and it saves so much time since I don't have to keep opening/closing the clamp to add more pieces of wood or to shift the wood over.  This device is quite similar...you don't hold the domino tool, you bring the wood to the tool.

There is a less sophisticated version in the Feb/Mar 2005 issue of Wood Magazine that had some good features too.
