Table with a Twist

This is my latest project.  It's 42" x 12.5" x 30" high.  It is maple finished with polyurethane.  Any comments or critiques (including dislikes) are welcome and appreciated!

I will have a blog entry on the construction next week.  I used the Domino for the joinery as well as slots for the buttons that hold the tabletop down.

The photos look professionally done.  Are they your work or did you pay a photographer ?

Thanks for the compliments, Woodguy.  The wood is maple (I updated the OP) and I took the photos myself.  I am learning the art of photography.  This set-up cost me less than $600 + the DSLR camera.  If you're interested, have a look at the Interfit EX150 Mk II light set.  I used photo gray backdrop paper that cost about $80.

I used my board twister?  Actually, I used a drawknife and spokeshaves.  I'll post details on my blog next week.

Relax, we love ya JMB.  I'll try and do a video on how it's done, placing one end in a machinists vise and clamping the other end in a really, really, REALLY large drill and using a very, very, VERY slow speed.
