Interesting is how they make sure the guide rail stays against the dogs: magnets are placed in the t-slot.

The top is 120mm×800mm, so it won't fit a MFT maybe it's possible to trim it, but it wil be a very close fit for the hole pattern.
Its €169.95, that's about €60 more then a MFT replacement.

I like the idea!

Very interesting! Steve (QWAS Dogs) was exploring this idea several years ago but didn't have the CNC cutting system required to carry it out.

What kinds of things are you repetatively cutting at odd angles to make this worthwhile ?

For a few cuts I'd think a bevel gauge would be much faster to use.  You're probably already using it to measure said angle anyway.  Mark two pencil lines with it, lay down ten rail and cut.  Now I can see if you've got ten to cut. But, what kinds of things are folks producing that this would be a time saver for ?

An interesting approach...could be kind of confusing though after that 2nd glass of Cabernet.  [eek]
That was my thought exactly. I'd probably keep wasting materials on that thing.
But I like the magnets, that is slick.

Many seem to find this "cool" but, no one can really see a use for it ???

hi, the idea is to have a kind of mitre saw with at least +/- 45° range but for sheet material. And without the need for calibration or a risk of reading errors and with defined positions for every full degree plus 22,5° and 67,5° .... in addition you can set and repeat arbitrary angles e.g. for making sliding dovetails with a router or if you need to adapt to a given angle (e.g. walls which are not precisely 90° to each other).

Would only work with steel dogs. No use if you have aluminium or stainless.

the bench dogs (or "magic dogs" as I call them) for the vario bench are made from stainless but magnetic steel  [smile]
You can use other 20 mm bench dogs however the original ones are made really tight fitting and in order to avoid that they don't fit anymore if the MDF is swelling (though moisture) the bench dogs can be flipped over and used with the other side which is slightly smaller in diameter.

...and another video which shows how accurate you can work with it can be found here:

Apart of the 1° resolution, maximum achievable precision was another main design goal...

Somebody interested in importing this to the US or somewhere else ?
