My Tanos dealer has retired  [sad]  It's to bad because the store was within driving distance for me and I could stop by when passing through on other business.

Anyone have a good experience with a Tanos Distributor they can recommend?

Thanks and Happy Holidays Foggers!  [thanks]

I've always ordered from Japan Woodworker, but I know they were just bought out so I'm not sure what is going on with them.

Yeah,

That's the dealer I used.  I don't think Woodcraft is going to stock Tanos.

To the best of my knowledge  Lee Valley is the only Tanos dealer in the USA now.

The mysystainer.com website has a phone number to call.  I won't be able to get any information until the 26th at the earliest, but I suspect that mysystainer.com will operate again.

Would be sweet if woodcraft stocked them, but festool might not like the competition for systainers since they stock festool already

Same parent company, and the US Tanos dealers that exist or did exist carried both. So probably not a problem.

I wish my local woodcraft sold the empty systainers, the only thing they do sell is the sortainer. I want to try and support them when i can but they dont have the greatest selection of festools/systainers

I just got off the phone with Woodcraft.  They are picking up the Tanos line and expect their first shipment to arrive sometime in February unless there are complications.  I couldn't get any detailed information on what will be carried other than they will be carrying the T-Locs only and probably only in Anthracite- at least initially.

If I hear more I will post additional information.

Thats great! was it your local woodcraft or was it the franchise corporation? i know each one is independently owned and operated and some cary lines others dont.

Do you guys really dislike Lee Valley or like Woodcraft that much better? I've probably gotten better by-mail service from LV, personally. I don't have a WC or LV store nearby, so I can't really take in-store shopping into account.

I have nothing against Lee Valley or Woodcraft.  I was just relaying information that I received today that I think I implied I was going to try and get earlier in the thread.

I would love to see somebody truly carry the full line in the US.

Sorry, my wording probably could have been better. I wish I could get Systainers everywhere!

Yeah! I love the Tanos van system and i wish we had the option to get them stateside. Wonder what it takes to become a full on systainer dealer, thinking i want to change professions  [thumbs up]
