TB III On Clearance At Lowes

If anyone uses Titebond III, you might want to check your local Lowes store to see if they have it on clearance.
My store had the 10 Oz. bottles for $0.29. When I checked they had 61 bottles in stock. You can't buy online (but you can see the price using their app) so I headed over to pick some up and grabbed 36 bottles for $10.44 plus tax.

That's over 2.5 gallons (360 ounces) for ~$10.44 (2.9 cents per oz.) A one gallon container is $28.98 (22.6 cents per oz.)

I did check the date code to be sure it was not about to expire. Date code is A2106(Y=2021, Month=June), so many months left to use this up and I find it lasts longer than a year. Plus being small containers I won't be exposing the whole batch to air from the beginning, only as I open each bottle. Maybe not as convenient as a single one gallon bottle but for a savings of $71 I'll take it. Cutting boards and laminations use up glue pretty fast so it should all work out.

For reasons that I can't comprehend, the 10 oz bottle of Titebond 3 is currently priced at $0.29 at most Lowes. Not available online only in stores. If your store has stock the 29 cent price will show on the website and the mobile app. NO stock it will be around $5.

If you have a spot that has stock might be worth a trip. My local is out and the closest ones with stock are too far away.

I'm stuck at home at the moment, otherwise I would go buy some glue!  For the NoVa folks, the Sterling Lowe's shows the price but other Lowe's in the area has the regular price.  Go figure. [blink]

Lowes Canada doesn't carry TB glue, but it runs clearance all the time. I bookmark the page and check it once every few weeks.

Last month - $5Cdn for a USB/ 20amp 110V wall outlet, saving me $34 Cdn each. If I had wanted, I could've ordered 12 of them and resold them on eBay for a profit.

To be sure, I always order online and do the curbside pickup because if I go down to the store, the store could tell me it's for ONLINE purchases only even though it isn't true according to their head office (1800). But why argue and leave empty-handed?! [eek] By completing and paying everything online, the store won't argue with you because the cashiers are not involved (not their fault, but they can only ring what the system pops up if you check out there).

For Canadian members: Rona (now part of Lowes) also does clearance deals. Rona also does store transfers for your purchases but not Lowes.

Shows .29 at my Lowes, but no option to order online and pickup curbside. I’ll swing by on the way home today and see if I can grab some.

Thanks

Thank You for the heads up. Just check here south of Houston Texas, it is NOT on sale in this region . They still want $5.98 for it.

Oops. Missed that earlier. Probably slim pickings now as it is on the slick deals site as well

Thanks for posting this! My local store had 57 on hand. Picked up 12 for less than a normal bottle. Great deal!!!!

My local Lowes wouldn't honor the online price. It was on closeout but still close to $5 a bottle.

As far as I know it was not an online price. That size bottle was marked down at stores that had stock which was sitting on the shelf too long. So the sale was not at every store. Rather than letting it expire they opted to move it out at crazy low prices.

If you use the Lowes app or go online you should be able to see which stores have some in stock and what the price is.

Titebond prints a date and batch code on their bottles. They usually start with the letter A, followed by digits in the format YYMMDDnnn, where nnn is the batch number for that day.
