Ron,

Yes, it's the 20th annual show and our piece is "Six Flags Over Texas".

It's a tribute to the State's history, not the amusement parks.  [wink]

Who do you follow?  I probably know them.

Joe

Tom,

Thank you for the kind words.

Please let me know if I can be of help to them.

As you know, I started in millwork and cabinetry.  It pays a lot better than furniture.

Thanks!

Joe

Here is the provenance information for the table -

This one-of-a-kind table celebrates Texas heritage with a timeline of historic flags and pays homage to the six nations that have held sovereignty over the land since 1519 – the Kingdom of Spain, Kingdom of France, First Mexican Republic, Republic of Texas, Confederate States of America, and United States of America.

The table top is a stunning specimen of live edge, wormy Texas Mesquite whose flowing edges provide a sculptural quality.  A surface cavity is embellished with genuine Turquoise from the world famous Sleeping Beauty Mine in Globe, Arizona and has been inlaid in the Italian terrazzo style.

The organic nature of the top is balanced by a strong rectilinear base.  It is arranged in a unique three-piece overlapping chevron pattern that highlights beautifully figured Texas Pecan.  In keeping with the flag theme, each leg culminates with an aluminum sphere reminiscent of the top of a flagpole.

The legs are spanned by swallowtail pennants with stylized images representing the six flags that have flown over Texas.  They are original designs emblazoned on genuine Hermann Oak USA leather which is regarded as the finest top-grain vegetable tanned leather in the world.

The Texas Mesquite and Texas Pecan elements are finished with a European hardwax oil that has been hand rubbed to a satin sheen.  The leather is dyed in saddle tan and sealed with a protective acrylic coating.

It measures 89" Long by 14" Wide by 33" Tall.
