As a woodworker, I have always enjoyed attending the annual Woodworking Show that travels around the country from venue to venue. It’s been a great opportunity to sample the wares and get great deals from numerous vendors as well as learn a lot from the different educational seminars.
Unfortunately, the 30th season for the Woodworking Show did not include a 2013 stop in Houston, Texas – the fourth largest city in the nation. A local woodworker, Tim Shaunty, has personally taken the initiative to fill this void by organizing a local event by woodworkers for woodworkers. His efforts have resulted in a show that will be better than ever before and set the new benchmark for others to follow.
The Texas Woodworkers Show – Houston/Gulf Coast will be April 12, 13, & 14th, 2013 at the Pasadena Convention Center. It will feature great vendors (Woodcraft, Circle Saw, WoodLine, Woodworkers Supply, and many more) plus educational seminars from introductory to advanced, a marketplace where you can reserve a space to sell your creations, and local woodworking club exhibits.
It will also introduce a student competition to encourage young people who are learning woodworking. If you know of a student or school program, encourage them to participate. The winner gets a cash prize and their school will receive a bandsaw. They need more entries so please help.
The regional sales rep for Festool will be in attendance at the Woodcraft booth to answer your questions and demo the tools.
Tell your friends and make plans to attend. Three day admission is only $10 and there is free parking. I can hardly wait!

Thanks,
