I was not expecting any of my orders today, they were listed as BO.  What a nice surprise when I walked in to see two big boxes waiting for me.

I now see first hand what others are referring to in regards to your packaging, well done.

Thanks for the great service  [thumbs up]

There is normally an e-mail notifying you that it was shipped...but it's always nice to get a surprise package.

  Andrew,

Most welcome. As mentioned, we send an email notification when items are shipped; but sometimes the email address bounces back to us as undeliverable for whatever reason. Also, sometimes the email notification goes into your SPAM filter. But a surprise like that is always nice.
For those still waiting on back ordered items, some are just coming in, some won't be in for another week or so. Hopefully, in the future, weather and logistics won't result in a similar "perfect storm."
And, a big yes on the generous use of bubble wrap.

Bob

I second the thanks.  Fortunately I received e-mails, but want to Thank you Bob for your excellent service.

Nothing in my spamm folder, I really get very little spamm if any at all.  Two deliveries so far, no email for either.  Any ideas?

Your's is great news.  I am awaiting a BO package as well.  Bob could not promise a date for delivery, but from experience, i know it will be intact and no damages. And it will not be a long wait.  [big grin]

I just got a small order of one Domino bit and the cardboard package was big enough for a bowling ball (duck pins) and packed full of bubbles and miscellaneous padding protecting the little plastic Festool bit container.

My wife thought it was going to be something big when she pointed the package out on the kitchen table as i got home from work. I laughed and told her to watch as I unwrapped.  She also laughed and admitted she had never seen anything so small come in such a large package.  She now feels much better when she knows I have ordered goodies from Bob.  Just frosting on the cake when she knows I am getting good engineering as well.  She grew up about 30 miles from where they make these toys.  Of course, i thought when I married her she would bring a Merc with her.

Oh well, I should not be greedy, I guess  ::)

I can really appreciate Bob Marino's business model as I have found that some dealers don't bother to tell you they have no stock and charge your card anyways. Makes me glad I've thus far acquired all my tools from him. I now have a local dealer to support but there is none better for mail order than Bob. (although I've never had the chance to buy from him, Tom Bellemore is always offering helpful advice and I will buy at least one tool from him just for that.)

Thanks for looking into it and resolving it Bob.

My BO boom arm showed up to day also...shipped before you got the email thing figured out so I wasn't aware it was coming, but I don't mind surprises like this. [big grin]

Thanks for the very kind words! Dealers should not be charging your card unless your items are in stock.
Regarding the back order situation, many of we dealers are still waiting - way longer than we originally thought, on stock now coming in from Festool.

Bob

I agree with all that has been said.  I ordered the TS55 + CT36 when both were listed on bo and they showed shipped within a day or so.  And this was after Bob took the time to answer my questions via email.  I am just getting serious about woodworking but it is nice to know I have found a "go-to" dealer for my purchases.
