I had a nice delivery today direct from Festool Germany. As some of you may know I came 3rd in the sysrock song competition recently. My prize was £1500 worth of Festool tools chosen by me from Festool UK's website. I went over a touch to get what I wanted but they allowed me to pay the extra :-).

Anyway today a white van pulled up and my of2200 and mfk700 sets both arrived. This of2200 is HUGE !!! Lol.

Many thanks to all at Festool and all the people who voted and supported me through the competition.

I'm off to do some random routing :-)

Yeah it was difficult choosing though. I was tempted to get the cms but thats a whole lot more money. The mfk should come in handy for trimming worktop and shelf edging

i worked it out once.... CMS with the router and saw inserts plus the extension table came to more than a decent router table (UJK pro), Makita site type table saw and a decent 260mm induction type PT (metabo / record).... all academic until i get a workshop but a scary amount of money!

enjoy them - i have a 1010 and 1400 and often wonder if i should move the 1010 on for an MFK so will be interested to hear how you get on with it.

I've now got the set lol 700,1010,1400 and 2200 I know there's a few others but I'm sure that lot will cover most jobs

That stack of Festools sure is pretty!

Very happy for you.  Enjoy them!

DUDE,  Now you can make more videos of you using the tools, instead of riding the tools !    [tongue] [poke]

Have fun with the new gear !!!

Not sure y u didnt come first

Glad you won something though.
I know considering my asking for votes is very visible online on various forums and Twitter etc, where as the other guys seemed to have come from nowhere very puzzling .

As you say at least I won something and its a big something lol

Nice big router
I use the big Makita for work tops and above the table use and a Trend in the table, I use a Makita trimmer for hanging doors.
I am thinking of getting a 1400 or a 1010 to use with my new festool guide rails and mft 3.
Happy routing

I might sell my 1400 which I only just got at Christmas, not sure yet. It's only been used for 20 minutes lol but now I've got the big one I might not use it.
