I just wanted to post something real quick and thank each and every one of you for making this forum a huge success.  Your contributions continue to make this a great resource.  The forum has seen strong growth every month since we took ownership last July.  I give credit to the members and the great moderators we have.

So, thanks. I really enjoy this place and consider many of you friends.

[thanks]

Shane

Shane can't play favorites publicly on the forum but what he means is that I've done a great job of making this place a success.  You're welcome Shane. [tongue]  Admittedly, I did get some help from Peter and you the rest of guys too.

Brice,

It's nice to see that having won Fogtainer 1 hasn't gone to your head.

Really though, thanks for everything that you have contributed.  Your thorough reviews and videos have proven to be really helpful.

Dan, thanks, but in reality this thread isn't about me (i was just having some fun with my previous post).  It's about this place as a whole.  So thanks to everyone that has made this a very enjoyable place to spend some spare time. [thanks]

This is an excellent forum.  Matthew got it started but I think the new moderators and active involvement with Festool and Shane have definitely taken it to a new level.

I know of no other forum online that has as strong an involvement from a manufacturer, dealers, and active members who really want to HELP.

I appreciate that Festool is very active, but does not censor the criticism and encourages open debate and active issue resolution.

In an era of plenty of companies 'experimenting' with social media, I think Festool is on the leading edge with value added content and engagement.

The classes are an added dimension to the forum that have also come about in the past year based on listening to owners.  Keep it up Shane and team!

Shane,

No argument from any corner here.  From the guy who posts once to Brice who is will be the first to reach 1 million posts what a great place this is to be.

I just wish there was a way that more of us could interact face to face.

Neill

Shane, after attending two classes in Lebanon, I know you guy really care about your addicts customers.

Brice, I have always appreciated the videos you have added on youtube for our education and enlightenment.  Meeting you at the router class and seeing your demo of the parallel guides with the LR32 system to build True-32 cabinets was great!

As Neill said, more face to face meetings would be great.  Maybe a "Festool Roadshow" in key places a few times each year, ala Gary Katz.  Have a general session and then clinic booths with specific techniques that could be attended at random.  It would not be complete, of course, without BBQ Ribs!  ;D  (Show specials would gaurantee better attendence.)  [big grin]

I know that you are joking Brice, but there is a lot of truth in your claim.  [tongue] [thanks]  [poke]

Frank I think Brice's "rock star" status is large enough without us egging him on. Just kidding Brice [poke] I appreciate your input to this site, helping to make it what it is.  Shane can't say enough about you and Fogtainer Pete's dedication as well. Thanks guys for keeping this place up and running and incubating it into what it has become. [thanks]
