So this was an interesting project!  A life size Noah's ark educational/theme park.  We provided all the pegboard fixtures and cabinetry for the gift shop, coffee shop, and fudge making area.  Was a fun unusual project.  This boat is huge!  They utilized over 3 million board feet of lumber in its construction.  It opens to the public in less than a week..

Cool project to work on. I saw this video, which gives more of an idea of the size of this thing. It's enormous!

That really is amazing and something we might need soon over here !

I had to do a double take at "Fudge Making Area".

That's quite a "Member Project"  [eek]  [wink]

It is kind of funny to see Tyvek on an ark.  [smile]

Are there other "____ making areas" or just fudge?

Very cool thing. I think I saw this on a TV story as well.  [cool]

I don't recall the Fudgery verses in the Bible, I'm sure they are there, after all need something to keep the passengers happy during the long days and nights of the deluge...

That is right down the road from me. I am in Cincinnati and seeing the thing at a distance is unbelievable!  I am not a God fearing man, but it is an impressive modern day attraction!!

Cheers. Bryan.

Whoa.  Never did know what a cubit was.  It's large, apparently.

Here are a few more pictures.  For any woodworker, the structure alone is worth going to see.

You're working on this?! That's great. Just imagine how many more species we would have now had Noah had an hk saw.

Pretty huge understaking to build the Arc, I suppose it sort disproves the fable altogether but hey all you need is faith.

I love the shape of the hull

Our part was 107 pegboard shelf fixtures for the gift shop.  (this meant producing and finishing over 500 shelves and 3600 pegs as well.). We also produced the PLam casework for the other areas I mentioned earlier.  The best part was installing though. :)  Our part was pretty small compared to everything else going on.  It was hard not to just walk around all the time.  The exhibits were going in as we were there. I was impressed by the attention to detail that was put into everything.  Here is a picture of "Noah's workshop". The workbench actually is functional and the tools are handmade.

Although I have never visited the one close by,  yours look more "craftsman" to me.
The one here is build on a steel barge, yours looks like a real wooden ship.

very nice!

That is awesome that you got to work there and that your work is now may be viewed by so many people. My family will be planning trip there in the near future.
