The big domino and stairs

Anybody got any thoughts on the strength of the big dominos strength. Strong enough for connect treads to stringers ?  Thx in advance ?

There was an earlier thread here regarding a stairway made using dominoes.  I think the consensus was that most would prefer to have the treads and risers mortised into the stringers for greater strength.

I think if you used enough dominos it would be strong enough, but that would be really expensive unless you made up your own dominos,  [eek]
