Y'all need to support this guy, he's come up with a straight simple scribe jig system. Check it out.

Simply not adjustable enough to be a useful product...they need holes in 1/32" increments
 
For those of us who rarely scribe, we can easily bore a pencil hole on a scrap block... or use a compass. I have had too many gadgets in my shop that don't get used at all that, not because of money, I try to justify a purchase based on needs and usage whenever possible.
 
For regular wall/floor scribe the "Thingamajig" is probably the best scribe tool.  It wont work well if you are trying to scribe to something with a heavy texture or tight irregularities like a brick wall.  The carbide cutter helps if you are working with anything that likes to chip or wood that likes to splinter. 
 
Question: What advantage is there over the Rockler Simple Scribe?

OK, thanks, didn't pick up on that. So basically similar but a metric version.
