Hi,
I am in the UK and have the Carvex  420 EB and have the box of tricks to go with it but there is one bit that I don't know what it's for hopefully I have added a photo.
Anyone know what it's for.

Rusty, that's for use with the Carvex when it's installed in the CMS module to keep the on/off switch in the on position allowing you to use the CMS power button to turn it on and off.

It goes in the little slot behind the switch

Shane, its appears that you might own one such CMS unit. [scratch chin]

Nope. I just know what the tab is for. It will actually be in the accessory systainer sold in the U.S./Canada but will be useless without the CMS module. It'll make a nice lanyard or key chain.  [wink]

Hi again,
I found the answer to my question so thanks anyway.

You have been a fog member since January2012.

Shame on you!!!  You need to go and do some festool home work!  Not knowing what a cms module is oh dear oh dear

[not worthy]

I know, I know,
I have most of the Festool kit but have no need for the CMS. .
Where in the UK are you based?
Regards
Michael.

Someone's getting an angry email today.  [scared] I specifically asked Rick B. what that was, and he made it sound like it was someone's missing key chain that got lost in my kit.  [mad] Hey, you're closer to him than I am. Would you mind reaching over and slapping him for me? HARD!

Useless or not, people are going to ask about it. So I've got to go find somewhere in the manual to mention it.

Edit: In case it wasn't obvious, this was completely tongue-in-cheek. No Rick Bush's have been harmed in the making of this posting.  [big grin]

I already thought the Accessory Kit was an excellent value & now it ships with a complimentary key chain? I'd better order more of them!  [big grin]

Chip

Well, I could always use another keychain and being its Festool I'll be able to pass it down to my son along with the tools. I'm sure it's the best keychain ever made and hours of man hours went into its design.

Once I'm back in town from the East Coast, I'll be there! [tongue]

By the time you get back in town I should have the disco ball hanging in the jigsaw corner of our showroom. Can't have strobes without a disco ball right?  [wink]

Chip

Yes... And, you can use the supplied keychain to suspend the disco ball from the ceiling!
