How many others went to bed at end of first half? 

Brady was not going to have his day of laughing in the faces of those who had punishished for Deflategate earlier in the year.  He would definitely have to wait another year to stand alone with his fifth win in Super Bowl.  Those new kids were just tooooo fast. Waayyyy tooooo fast and quick.

AND I never mak mustooks.  I just KNEW it was going to be another half of the same mismatch.  Oh well, my first action as i got out of bed at 3am was to check how much the Patriots had lost by.

Agree, Atlanta so dominated the first half, it was embarrassing to watch, but what a comeback by the Patriots! Like him or not, Brady is one of the best QB' arguably thee best in Football. This was an incredible game and Hollywood could not have scripted a more exciting one.

Yup, Brady now has 1 more than my man Bradshaw.  Let's also give credit to the front line who buckled it up a notch and gave Brady some protection, and also to the receiver corps for some unbelievable routes, and to the running backs who seemed to get a lot tougher.  I have seen every Super Bowl and on the whole, the 4th quarter by New England was the epitome of GREAT football.  Fantastic!  Go Brady!  Go Pats!  Go Belichick!  Take that Godell!

Was pretty funny how the crowd just let out one long boo as Godell tried to hand the superbowl trophy to kraft.

Was torn as a Panther fan as I didn't want either side to win so was happy to see some great football at the end.

Sucked when the highlight of the first half was Lady Gaga. I didn't expect the Pats to win, figured it was all over. If any QB was to beat them, Matt Ryan would have been most deserving. But it was not to be and the game turned out to be a tale of two halves. You just can't say enough good things about Brady. And for once a circus catch by Edelman went our way.

Way to go Patriots!!

Belicheck seems to come up with great players. This year he had his first round picks eliminated, but he managed to get some input from rookies anyhow. Folks thought all was lost when Gronk went out for the season.  the team did not skip a beat until the first half last nite.  But they managed to all wake up.  I am not a Patriots fan, but have to admit that Brady is probably the greatest Q-back of all time.

That title belongs to Montana, very closely followed by Bradshaw. Both of those guys went 4-0 in the big game and they did it in a time before all of the ridiculous rules protecting the QB, they took a beating on the field on every play of every game. Plus, Brady lost 2 Super Bowls to a QB that is widely regarded as decent at best. Brady is great, but not the greatest of all time.

The Q'back that beat him twice is not my favorite.  I do root for him every time as he is leader of my team, the G'nts.  His dad, Archie, was a good player with a h--- of a lot of guts.  He probably spent more time looking at the sky than watching his receivers catches. As I was growing up, I never listened (we had no TV 39 years ago) to the Saints, but always checked to see if Archie had finally won a game.  He was probably the greatest losing quarterback of all time.  Eli is doing much better.

I agree with [member=43644]Gwerner[/member] on your accessment of Brady, but I am sure that with his receiving crew, he will have more successes for atleast one more year. Since I am not the tallest in any crowd, my favorite was the little scrambler, Fran Tarkenton.  Then a guy named Joe Montana.  He was unshakable.

Not really a fan of Tom Brady...matter of fact REALLY not a fan of Tom Brady. But kudos to him because after the 1st half was run, I thought the game would end up 42-10. Very impressed with his mental toughness, he/the team did what they were paid to do and the result was one of the BEST Superbowls in years. Also thought Lady Gaga put on a good show, not quite Prince like, but still a solid performance.

Going through football withdrawal, I've watched that game about 5 times on NFL Network the past few days (it's a lot easier now that I know how it turns out!) Honestly, there are numerous things that had to go right for the Pats in the 3rd quarter and looking at each play now, knowing if the Edelman catch hadn't been made, the Pats hadn't knocked the Falcons out of field goal range, converted two 2 pt tries, won the coin toss for OT, etc., the outcome might have been very different. The Falcons really should have run the ball and chewed up some clock. A field goal would have iced it.

Fans tend to get a bit complacent here in New England, expecting the Pats to win and when it doesn't happen it's a huge letdown (think two NY Giants wins.) Among the four teams, there are 10 titles in the 21st century, so we're kinda spoiled.

Of course, the Pats weren't always great, the Sox suffered a long curse, the Bruins and Celtics are in a drought at the moment, so it hasn't always been a great sports market.

My only regret is not going in to Boston on Tues for the parade. My wife and I attended the one 2 years ago and had a blast. Next year when the Pats win their sixth!
