Emma finished her first piece of furniture on her own the other day. When she started a year ago she couldn't read a tape measure.

It's a nice feeling to see the "kids" progress. Zach, the shop lead watched her progress and gave her pointers along the way, also nice when the crew gets along and help each other out.

Wow, looks awesome.  Been at it for a lot longer than a year, and I'd be proud to build that!  Says a lot about both the teacher and the student.

Nice job Emma... [not worthy] ...I wish I didn't know how to read a tape.  [smile]

WOW that’s really nice. And like Anthony said the smiles shows it all
Thank you Tom for all the projects that you post. You and your team do beautiful work.

That's awesome on so many levels.

Beautiful piece.  Great craftsmanship. Inspiring story.  Female empowerment.  Mentoring.  Next Generation.

Thank you for being a force for good and fostering all of it!

Joe

Brilliant in every way !!!

As an aside - it’s encouraging to see that it’s not just UK ‘kids’ who live life with a smartphone permanently welded to one hand [big grin]

Congratulations to all involved.

That's an awesome looking piece, great job!
Looks like the teacher and student both understood their job.
I would really like to see that with some finish on it.

Oh yeah, that's very much a thing here too. At least the pic wasn't a selfie  [blink]

A year??  My what a lovely piece of furniture.  So much to be proud of here.

On a totally unrelated note, I’m going to be selling a whole shop’s worth of tools shortly… [embarassed]

Congratulations to Emma!  Her accomplishment is something to be very proud of!  [thumbs up]  I hope she's grateful to you for the opportunity and the tutoring.  [smile]

Hello Emma,

We salute you for choosing a place of employment where you can “Learn from the Best!” That, frankly, is more valuable to you over a lifetime than any check Tom Bader can ever write you.
Stick with it and Go Places in life.

To recognize your progress and encourage you to keep on, we would like to offer you the choice of any TSO brand tool that you can use in your work as the beginning of your very own Woodworker’s Tool Tote content.

Just tell us what you can see at www.tsoproducts.com
that would be helpful to you and we’ll do the rest.

We salute you!
Hans and the TSO Team

[member=4105]tjbnwi[/member]    Make sure you see the post above.  Hans and TSO made a very gracious offer, would hate to see it get overlooked.

Peter

Hans,

Thank you very much for this extremely generous offer. I am very proud to call you a friend.

With great gratitude,
Tom

Thank you to everyone who has taught me so much over the years. Without your input I would have had little to pass along.
