Picked up the parallel guides with extensions this week. Need to calibrate them though. Question....can I use a dewalt router with the 32LR System? If not that will be the next purchase...1400 Router and the 32LR system. Love the fact that is portable.

the of1010 base is clamped on to the lr32 slider with two knobs so it depends on the base of the dewalt I doubt it will fit directly, there are screw holes in the slider for the of 1400 so you could make an adapter maybe easier to use a festool router

It is definitely a good idea to get the 1400. you will need it. BUT>>>>> for the 32 hole drilling guide, you will absolutely find you cannot live without the 1010. It is made for that system. By now, you are realizing that you must go to your local shoe store or mountain climbing equipment store so you can getyour self a sturdy pair of hob-nailed climbing boots. You will need them for stability on "the Slippery Slope". 8)
