Good morning, everyone. I'm happy to announce that you can now access the Rotex RO 90 DX website now. I would appreciate your feedback on the site. I want to make sure that I'm doing a good job provide you guys with the information you're looking for about new products.

Also, please feel free to ask any questions you might have in this thread and I'll do my best to address them. Since I know these questions may come up, let me address them upfront. First, the RO 90 is not compatible with pads and abrasives from the RO 125 or RO 150. The design of the pads are significantly different. Secondly, I don't have information on pricing for Canada. Sorry to our friends up north, but that information will hopefully be made available later this week. Lastly, it will be available on March 1st however you may find some dealers willing to process pre-orders.

Thanks and I look forward to your questions and comments. This is a killer new tool and I can't wait to have one myself.

I currently use a RO125 with a hard pad for edge work (with more than acceptable results).  Will the HT pad that comes with the RO90 be suitable (stiff enough) for edge work?

Jesus, I think you'd probably be better off with the hard pad (495 623) which is the same pad that you're using on the 125. The HT is a soft pad and while it will work, you'll get a crisper corner with the hard pad.

Edit: By the way, HT stands for high temperature. The HT pad offers a longer service life than the regular soft pad.

Shane the new site looks outstanding. Nice to be able to compare side by side, even though this has been on my short list since it's availability was announced. [big grin]

Shane,

I love the micro sites that you have been doing.  The quality of the graphics and the ease of navigation is far better than what we've seen in the past.  My guess is that Germany is watching closely what you are doing and will be trying to imitate throughout the world!  You will be the trendsetter!

How have you invented more hours of the day?  With the FOG, your IT work, new micro-sites, Facebook, Twitter, blog, etc., either you are typing faster or have entered a time continuum.

Thanks for what you do for work and also beyond work!

Peter

How tall is the RO 90?

How far out does the delta pad project ( I have always wanted to use that word) ?

Great questions, Darcy. I should have thought to include that information. I can't give you and answer tonight since I don't have one of these yet.  [crying] But, I'll measure one tomorrow and get those figures posted here and added to the site.  Thanks!

While there's nothing currently in the works, there's plenty of time for something like this to be put together. I'm definitely in favor of an abrasives assortment. If something does get put together, I'll let you guys know for sure.  [wink]

Edit: How about this... Anyone who's interested in the RO 90 and would like to see an abrasives systainer with an assortment of abrasives, post and let me know. I can use this to gauge interest and hopefully make the argument that something like this should be offered as an intro special. [big grin]

+1 on that. When I bought my ETS 150 earlier this year, I was fortunate that my dealer still had one of the promotional abrasives assortment packages from 2008 lying around. I may not need everything in it right away, but it's nice to have such a good variety already on hand when the need arises.

I'm interested on the package ro90+abrasive systainer (filled).  I would add a few pads to the package given that this is a new product, and with the exception of delta pads no one will have any pads or abrasives from an older model.

It's going to take more that two people being interested in an abrasive assortment systainer...  [scared]

I should have mentioned that it would almost certainly be in a T-Loc, especially since the RO 90 will come in a T-Loc.

Absolutely interested in a package deal that would include abrasives in a systainer. I already put my name on a waiting list for the RO 90.

Thanks to all who have replied so far. Be sure to post in the thread if you plan to get the RO 90 and would be interested in an abrasive assortment T-Loc systainer. I would imagine it filled with the most popular flavors of round and delta-shaped abrasives.

Regarding Darcy's question about dimensions, here is what I have based on calculations from photos which should be fairly close. I'll measure tomorrow and update with more precise measurements.

I'm interested for this promo, promo for OFK-700, Old promo for OF-1010 (AKA KB SYS), Promo for Carvex, and many, many other promos. These nice promos will gauge selling of accessories. I also would like to see more promos like PS-300 + ETS150 + C12 back in 2006.
How about this promo RO-90 + Carvex + C12 LiIon + plus accessories + Centrotec 2011 systainer in the middle of  2011? 6 systainers with goodies!

Regards,
VictorL

Me, myself and Irene are interested in the RO90 package deal, so that's 3 more for you Shane.  If that's not enough, I'll go around again.
