Seriously. He was in town to visit someone. They blocked off every side street and stopped traffic from all directions. His Limo wizzed by at about 60 mph just a few yards from the shop here. I was hoping he'd stop by and buy a buggy or some of my wood work but I think he was in a hurry. ;D

I shook hands w/ Bill Clinton a few years ago. It was totally unexpected. He was visiting the Governator on set back when he was just an actor.

Well it was in '96 I think, and they say your body completely regenerates every seven years, so in theory I don't have any Clinton-cooties left on me. ;D

I'm not really very politically oriented, so I don't think much other about the incident than, "Hey I just shook the President's hand! Cool!"
He was amazingly charismatic in person. For the second or two that we were actually shaking hands, I had the illusion I had his total attention.

Thanks for passing the link Mirko, the Onion is a local paper started here in Madison Wisconsin; have you seen the actual newspaper ? It's hysterical. We went to see the Dalai Lama this afternoon excellent talk he'll be here all week, I'll have a chance to see him a few times very groovy.
