I'm mainly concerned with the lead being compatible, ie heavy duty v light duty.Yes, they are compatible. Just connest the hose to the port, make sure the suction is set to Full, and cut away!
Yes, the hose comes with the 16ga cord installed as opposed to the 18ga cord.I'm mainly concerned with the lead being compatible, ie heavy duty v light duty.
I still have that hose. I also remember far too many abusing the swag.I remember when Festool offered those as swag during the Festool Connect Event in Las Vegas 2018. I ended up wearing out a 16 ga cord and remembered I had a spare in that hose combo.

You can't get it backward. The receiving socket of the higher Amp tools will not accept the light duty cable.I'm mainly concerned with the lead being compatible, ie heavy duty v light duty.
Yeah, just wanted to confirm it came with the heavy duty - Festool Au doesn't tell you the type of lead, but all of the 'compatible' tools listed are what I'd consider 'light duty'.You can't get it backward. The receiving socket of the higher Amp tools will not accept the light duty cable.
The opposite direction is fine, the heavier cable on lower draw tools is no problem.
Looks like the light duty has been almost phased out down here, but there's still one available amongst the 5 or 6 Plug-It options.@Lincoln I haven't paid enough attention to realize that you were an Aussie. My thinking is NA, unless it's someone that I know where the live. It thought it was only us with 2 different cables?
