After much thought, I ended up ordering the 3000mm guiderail. 4000mm would have been perfect, 5000mm to damn long, so as a compromise, I put my seldom used 800mm on the 3000mm.
Now, where do I store the thing.....OH, how bout here.  ;D
It worked out perfect, the DC tube clamps hold it up, the pipe keeps it from falling over. I did add a peg to support the center. All is well.

The Tate museum in London has just announced that an exhibit measuring 3000mm in length has gone missing, police say that it may have been smuggled abroad in the disguise of a sort after powertool accessory ;D ;D

The Tate is one museum I'd love to go back to. Really enjoyed my day there. Bought some great design books in the book store. Left the bag in the back of a cab. I chased that cab for 2 blocks full speed. I think the driver didn't pull over on purpose, scumbag.
