this would be good in a Tloc

I think that it is interesting, but think that a. Festool version would be better designed. Until then I will stick to my Syslite [thumbs up].

The idea of having it on a box is pretty cool!

Thing is I rather the LED light was on its own pivot and lifted up so I could leave the lid down so my box wouldnt get full of dust etc and to protect my tools from water/rain  as I Would assume the LED lights would be rain proof.

Also it has only one adjustment I would like it if it could stand up vertical to shine the light lower down not how it is now shining into the ceiling.

Another feature of it unclipping would be nice but not a must like the ones I mentioned above!

Also a swivel feature be cool but I would say it would be adding more parts making it more bulky so again only a cool feature to add but not a must just turning the box round would be fine but if you had it stacked on a pile of boxes it would be better turning the LEDS then the pile of boxes.

The ''concept'' is good but it needs improving!

Hey joiner gotta agree, I was in Wesco electrical wholesalers here in Kamloops, British columbia yesterday and I saw Led lights very similar in there display. On close inspection it appears they have service mount leds in heat sink modules that appear to lock together to make different sizes. Glass in the front was about 3/8inch thick. Would go perfect in a systainer.

Jeez man, its just a light in a lid  [tongue]

okay! I know!  [tongue]

Just saying its cool idea but its not had enough thought gone into it. they just banged a LED lamp onto job done!

I personally would not buy it  even if I had L-boxes instead of systaienrs/T-locs  cus of the reasons I mentioned above.

Links not work for me.

Seems like you are talking about a LED light in lid... I don't work in the dark. So I don't see a need for it.

Cheers,
Steve

the point is , we dont work in  the dark either because of things like this .
i like it. i agree with jmb about the needed features. it would be handy but not essential.
i would like it to be a sys0.5 so it would stack on top of other t locks

Alan you make me laugh, when you say you don't work in the dark because of "this".  At this point have to ask.... so you have this now? [poke]

Also have to ask if it (this light) was on the top of a stack of "T" locks how would that work when you turn a "T" lock second from the bottom and the top systainer 6 above  is leaned back... what 4-5 feet? [scared]

Now if Festool was selling a systainer for roadside repair.... I like the idea. ... [thumbs up]... just never have had a band-saw go out on me along side the road. Also never worked on site where we did not AC Main or a Gen - set [thumbs up]

I use the Syslites now.. Also use a head lamp light in very tight spaces.

Cheers,
Steve

sorry meant to say things like this.
i try not to tilt my ssytainer becasue all those small bits and pieces get moved around and sometimes fall out when you open the sys. i dont think tilting the light when its on the top of a stack would do any harm to anything. the beauty of the t lock is that it is so easy to take a few sys off of the one you want

Alan m,

I do understand your point.

I work on site and am stuck with many classic systainer So I'm always taking them off to get to what I need.  I just can't see spending the money to switch to the T locks when I want many other Festool products I could by instead of switching systainers would cost.

That said I can't find a need for a light in the systainer....

Cheers,
Steve
