Did you know that cheap microfiber wiping cloths will adhere to the pads of the sanders?  Worked great cleaning the ceramic range top with the appropriate cleaner.  Also did great rubbing out the excess on an oil finish.  Then I threw it away.

Any other unusual discoveries out there to share?

I unrolled steel wool then folded it in half. That worked very well on my sander to take some scuff marks of a finished end panel.

Actually I had been wondering myself if any one had ever attached a brillo pad to clean tile/grout.

And in more off beat musings...ive been thinking the ro90 would be a great exfoliator

Kapex to carve up the Sunday roast?

... Surely Festool make a meat and bone specific blade  [big grin]

I was just wondering if somehow I could use my RO125 to clean the ceramic range top. That's a great tip. Will it remove the large burned in spots? I've rubbed it forever by hand with the ceramic cleaner and a rag and it has no effect. Hopefully your technique will remove them. [big grin]

Nope.  Use a razor blade.  I removed the wxcess residue at the end with vinegar.

Use a razor scraper to get the bulk of it off.  The residues will come off with the ceramic cleaner & paper towel.

I used my Rotex 125 with a coarse grit (100 I think it was) of vlies on our ceramic cooktop.  Got all that baked on gook off without too much trouble and it did not scratch the finish.  I followed up with some specific cream polish made for cooktops.  Looked like new.

I also used Platin on our laminate kitchen counter tops to buff and polish the surface.  Achieved a very nice sort of satin patina.

Weiman Glass Cooktop Cleaner works very well in the cream form with the red scrub pads.  Both are available at Safeway around here.

[smile]

I will look for the Weiman stuff.  Unfortunately Safeway pulled out of here about 20 years ago.  Used to work for them.
