I made this cabinet for a furniture exhibition I was featured in last year.  It is obviously inspired by James Krenov's work.  The doors are turned and the cabinet was tilted 6 degrees and mounted on a turned base.  Inside the shelves are level as well as the drawer bottoms.  It was a lot of fun to make.[attachthumb=#]

Wow! Love the water drop/pressure wave pattern on the door.

What are rhe dimensions of the cabinet?

wow . thats great.
i too love the waves on the front  and on the drawer front.

welcome to the fog keim

Inspiring work and a real piece of art.

I'd love to see more detailed images  [big grin]

Thanks for the compliments.  The cabinet is about 20" tall, 6" deep and maybe 14" wide total.  It will balance at this angle with the doors open or closed.  I just attached it to the maple base with a pair of cabinet screws from underneath.

Please tell us more.    The grain, finish and design are outstanding.

- how did you turn the doors?  On a large lathe and then cut them apart?  Or did you route them with a jig?

Really would love to hear more about how you did this.

I'm ready to throw out my level now!

The doors and drawers were turned on a large lathe.  The doors were just butted together and stuck to MDF with carpet tape and a couple of well placed screws.  The drawer fronts were turned from one piece of Granadillo then cut apart.  The cabinet and drawer fronts are made from Granadillo.  The shelves and drawer sides are made from Guatamalen Lacewood.  I finished the Granadillo with a shellac and wax, the lacewood with a tung oil blend.  I am working on another one that has the turning wrapped all the way around he sides.  Made from figured Peruvian Walnut, can't wait to complete it.

That's an exceptional piece; exactly the type of art/furniture I love.  Thanks for posting!
