I ran across this on CNET and thought that I would share a link. As someone who is married to an avid social networker (more avid than I) it brought a smile to my face and coaxed laughter from her.
I am probably more visible than the average person on the internet primarily due to this wonderful forum of which I am so proud of the members and their participation. I have a Facebook page but rarely utilize it. I visit 4 forums ( FOG, talkfestool, woodworkingcafe, and JLC) I regularly visit about three other websites several times during the day.
I am working on my first website after setting up dozens for others and am considering offering something for some others here. At one time I had over 50 domain names. My dog - MacGyver - has his own blog and has been featured on other blogs and even an e-book or two.
I am not to the level as my wife who spends on average 8 plus hours a day doing the social media marketing thing, but yes I am infected by the internet but not by FaceBook. I just don't have the time. Maybe that will change.
My wife is a author and she spends a lot of time - as do many companies - using the various social media sites to promote their products and create brand awareness in the hope of increased sales.
