I am new to Festool doing mostly non-professional plaster repairs and paint preparations, with some floor smoothing. The Planex outfit has caught my imagination especially for ceiling prep.
Two vac options are the CT 33 and the RSM 45. Close inspection puts these two vac?s close on price after specking the CT33 to handle the Planex. Other uses include various sanders etc.. Also the sliding arm saw and buzzer. . And cleaning.
The question really is, does the larger self cleaning filter feature of the RSM 45 over shadow the hose clearing blow feature and tool carrying concept of the CT33 . No water or metal.
Is there a down side to the RSM in the general work shop? Does any one have direct comparison of these two vacs and could shed some light on my dilemma? For general light use........- Festol newbie
