Who knew toilet flange bolts fit so nicely into the side of the mft track?  I also used the included the nylon washers on the front of the ply to hold the bolts stationary while sliding it into the mft.  Cost me a whopping $2 from the big box store

Closet bolts will work but not exactly the same as T-track bolts. Closet bolts are usually brass so softer metal and not as strong but for most uses shouldn't make a difference. The heads are slightly wider on some make closet bolts because they are not made to fit inside a specified slot like that on t-track. This might require you to file them to fit you track in some cases but brass is easy to work. Closet bolts like t-track bolts can be found in 1/4" and 5/16" diameter, however the available lengths for closet bolts is not a varied as it is for t-track bolts.

Plain old everyday 5/16 bolts work also. The shank fits the slot, purchase of the head
on the track flange makes it look like the track was designed for them.

The set I got are 1/4 -20 and fit just fine with no trimming of the head.  Just cut the length down after the nut was put on. Never said it's the best or prettiest... just an option. I'm no hardware expert but I'm pretty sure they are just brass coated not solid brass so strong enough for what I'm using them for.
