Not in home center type stores, but at actual wood suppliers it is. Particle Board, MDF, and hardwood veneered plywood generally come as 49 x 97. This is to allow for squaring and removing edges that may have been damaged during handling. Some of those products are available as large as 61 x 145. 5 x 12s are very hard to deal with though, but when you actually need them, very handy.
