Been thinking about getting these for a while.. love the idea of having everything in their own place rather than my sys2 I cram all my hand tools into at the moment!

What are the internal measurements of the trays?

Just picked up one of these myself today at Woodcraft. Going to be very useful!

Does your hammer fit in there? Are you still liking the set up and it's functionality?

Cheers

I thought the same as you, picked one up a few months ago when it was on special.
For a Carpenter, it's useless, you just can't get all the right hand tools you need day to day in it. When its left open its vulnerable to getting knocked by other people and damaged.
Eventually I through all my plumbing gear in it, seems better suited for this, probably as I don't use them much.

Yeah it would be better if the clear lid bits folded all the way back so there hanging down when left open and not sticking up, it would be less vulnerable to damage

Except for those chisels! Egad! Protect the blades!  [eek]

I make simple cardboard and packing tape sleeves for the ones I carry around. I find these work as well as anything you can buy.

Back on topic, I carry a tool bag for all the heavy/durable stuff (hammers and large wrenches) and keep more delicate tools in the sys storage box, like chisels, small screwdrivers, ruler and such. I mostly leave the bins empty so I have a space to stash screws and little parts of whatever I may be taking apart.

Drill bits, blades and similar things go into an open top systainer below the storage box.
