It can only be [flash=200,200]http://JERRY WORK[/flash] for all those GREAT MANUALS that inspired and made it easy for all the "new festoolies" to "CREATE"!

I'd have to agree.  Those manuals are priceless for those new to the Festool environment.

I'm wondering if Mr. Work, and Mr Christopherson are excluded from this award because of their employment status?

Rick, your table blog, Waterfront Woods articles, and Manuals have been very instructive, illuminating, and inspiring.  Thank you, for the time, and I assume money that you put into these documents.  The table blog especially is chock full of gleanings, but what's especially significant is how you problem solved the machining of the pins and sockets, and the engineering of the drill. Even though your in a different galaxy of mechanical ability and knowledge than myself, witnessing someone challenge their own skills and knowledge, and succeed gives me a bit more confidence in the process of building as a whole.
Off the top of my head I believe you utilized these Festool tools : TS Saw,  Domino, MFS system, 1400 Router and bits, and I assume sander.  So with that I nominate Rick for this category.
Oh yeah, how are you liking the Kapex?  I assume your preparing another manual.

Given that, I'll throw my hat in the ring. I'm kind of thinking that selling a Festool C12 drill for $15,000 might rank up there in the somewhat unique category.

Wow! Which sander do you want?

Thanks for jumping in on this...
Yes, this adds a new dimension to the concept of "all-Festool project."  I hadn't even thought of a project with Festool inside!

Matthew, please define "All-Festool Project."  Seems like the whole project has to be made with Festool, to the exclusion of either:  (a) any other tools; or (b) tools other than Festool tools when Festool manufactures a tool of that type or for that purpose.

Regards,

John

John,
My concept was to highlight projects which were built using all Festool tools.  I know people have done this, although I also know that most projects involve at least some Festool tools.

This whole thing can evolve as we go along.  Maybe I should soften the designation a bit?  Perhaps it should be, "Most Creative Project Built Mostly With Festool Tools"?

Since the winners are chosen based on members' votes, we can leave it a bit fuzzy and see where the results fall.

Everyone,
Due to lack of interest, I'm closing this competition.

It seemed like a good idea, and I'm rather surprised by the response.

In order to learn from this, and have more successful contests in the future, I would like to hear members' responses.

Thank you,
Matthew
