My First Post so thanks in advance for your advise and I promise to do my best to learn the search function.
We have a new MFT/3 table, TS75 track saw and 55" & 75" guide rails and associated attachments for mounting the track to the table. All of Festools literature and related videos show the track running front to back with the 55" guide.
Is there any formal or informal reason, perhaps safety related, for not mounting the track attachment components onto the sides of the table and running the 75" guide rail horizontally such that I'm cutting left to right rather than front to back?
I'm ripping engineered hardwood flooring and the longer pieces don't fit between the track attachments but the question is really not specific to this one application.
