For many years I’ve just set my TS55 on top of it’s closed systainer in between cuts, which is mounted on top of my CT22 vac. And I’m always worried I’m going to knock it off. Any better ideas?

I have a similar, not nearly as sophisticated, solution on top of my CT26. It's a simple slab of 3/4" MDF, sized to fit. Then I stapled a few blocks to the bottom, to locate it, keeping it from moving. My CT26 is generally not very mobile. It sits between the assembly bench and the cross-cut station. In use with the TS55, it becomes the parking spot.
Since the time I made this, the situation has changed a little. Now the CT26 is covered, in a cubby of sorts. While the slab is still on top of it, I don't really use it that way anymore. I have installed a very shallow drawer above it and deploy that as the parking spot.

In the pic, it is not pulled out to demonstrate, but you can clearly see both options.
The drawer method could be applied nearly anywhere. I think the sides of mine are 1" or maybe 1 1/4" high, plenty enough to keep it from falling off in all but the worst cases.

In the shop I mounted a sys 2 or 3 (can't remember off hand) and stuck a 12" x 20" piece of 1/2" plywood on the systainer with mounting tape.  The plywood has rubber tool box drawer liner glued to the top and makes a slip resistant surface to set the saw on between cuts.

I've found that the MW-1000 and/or the SYS-MFT (Systainer with the MFT top on it) makes a great parking spot if you're using the off-cut splinter guard, because the splinter guard sits nicely in the v-groove that's on both of those tops, without the saw needing to hang off the edge of the bench or wobble because it's not sitting flat.  The rubber strip on the SYS-MFT is a bonus in this regard.

The SYS-MFT plate can be purchased separately since it's a cuttable top, and is much cheaper than a full SYS-MFT if you have no need for the whole thing.

I should have looked at the pic I posted a little closer. The pull-out shelf I was referring to before is the one where the TSO Systainer is sitting.

If you have the CT22 with hose garage (also sold separately) you can put it in there. Holds more than just the TS too.
