travelling to Canada...buy there or in US?

I'm travelling to Canada this week.  If I had items on my festool shopping list (specifically a 32" guide rail [$88USD] and the OF 1400 router [570 USD]) would it be any cheaper to find one just across the border, or just buy from amazon in the US? I'll be in the niagara area, but don't mind driving to save some (American or Canadian) dollars.  TIA.

88.00 USD converts to approx. 116.00 CDN, the 32" rail is 118.00 CDN +Tax. Not really worth it IMHO.

Plus you will have to pay the taxes at port of entry, so more $$, unless you hide it down your pants, but that could turn into a really bad day.
